Local Shop Feature: La Jolla Beach & Tennis CLub

We had the pleasure of speaking with Nicole DeMore, the retail buyer and manager of the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club. Located at 2000 Spindrift Drive in La Jolla, California, LJBTC was established in 1935.

The La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club is a beachfront resort as well as a private membership club with a shop on location! The company and its members are very focused on tradition and memories of time spent at the club. A large percentage of members are families and live within walking distance of the club so they are there often. In such a beautiful place like La Jolla, can you blame them? In continued tradition, many other customers are resort guests who have been coming to the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club for years.

The LJBTC has evolved over the years to accommodate their members, visitors, and employee needs. They now carry everything you can think of:  logo wear and gifts of course, fashion-forward brands heavy on beach fashion, basic amenities and snacks needed for a stay in the hotel or a day at the beach, sunglasses, jewelry, sunscreen, bags, beauty product, beach toys, basic tennis equipment, etc.  

Nicole’s emphasis is on their customer feeling welcomed and relaxed to enjoy looking around and adding to their experience there – and if that means they buy something to take home and continue enjoying their memories, even better!
